“Martha and Niki” Film Showing

In 2010, Niki Awandee Tsappos (Ethiopian Swede) and Martha Nabwire (Ugandian Swede) took part in the biggest international Street Dance Competition, Juste Debout, in Paris. It was the first time ever that two women became World Champions in Hip Hop. This film depicts their love of dance and of each other, and what it looks like when friendship is put to the test.

With music by The Roots, Jungle Brothers, Method Man, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Das EFX, N.O.R.E, Damon Frost and Chapee. Directed by Tora Mkandawire Mårtens.
