COVID-19 Policy

Effective August 29, 2022, The Cedar Cultural Center will no longer require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results in order to enter the venue.

Note that if artists request showgoers provide proof of vaccination or negative test results or require mask wearing by all for entry to their show, we will adhere to those requests. In the event that artists have a specified COVID-19 protocol for their show, that protocol will be indicated on the show listings and within the ticket buying process.

While we no longer require proof of vaccination or negative test results to permit entry, we do strongly encourage all patrons to wear masks at The Cedar when not eating or drinking. We provide KN95 masks free of charge to any person entering the building who wants one. Masks are highly effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Wearing masks in indoor spaces such as The Cedar shows consideration for the health and wellbeing of all, especially to fellow concertgoers who are immunocompromised and/or disabled.

We would also like to remind all attendees that in 2021 we updated the HVAC in our concert hall which now runs on a much higher cycle to transfer and replace air and has bipolar ionization, too. Bipolar ionization is a system that cleans the air and helps remove viruses including SARS-2-CoV, the virus that causes COVID-19.

COVID-19 policies have relaxed around the city and we are adapting to these cultural shifts. We will continue to monitor the Minneapolis Health Department and the Minnesota Department of Health for testing and masking guidance. We will continue to communicate with our constituents and community members when implementing changes like this one.

While this is our standard policy, it is subject to change. In addition, certain shows and/or artists may have modifications or updates to this policy. Please check the individual event page for exact policies and requirements.
